Selects Vlog editing with AI

The trip was the easy part.
The edit is why the vlog never goes up.

You came back with two weeks of footage. Two hundred clips across a dozen locations. Pieces to camera, b-roll of the streets, the food, the drive, half-sentences you started and abandoned, and a lot of "wait, was that recording?"

Now you have to watch all of it to remember what you even shot. Find the takes where you actually nailed the line. Throw out the duplicates and the dead clips. String the story together. By the time you finish reviewing the footage, the trip already feels like last month, and the vlog is still sitting in a folder.

From raw footage to structured edit

  1. Drop folder with raw media

  2. Auto sync & edit in minutes

  3. Handoff to existing workflow

Built for shoots where you film
way more than you keep

Speaker-aware camera switching

Selects knows who's talking and switches to the right camera angle. Not random cuts. Cuts that follow the conversation.

Silence and filler word removal

Um," "uh," long pauses, and dead air. Gone. Automatically. Or keep them if your podcast style calls for a looser feel.

Per-speaker audio optimization

Each speaker gets their best mic source selected automatically. No more manually soloing tracks to figure out which lav was on which guest.

Searchable b-roll placement

"Find the wide shot where they both laugh." Selects searches your footage by description and drops it into the timeline.

Handoff to
start the creative edit

Seamless with your NLE

Handoff to Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Project files are structured to fit your workflow.

You're in control

Edits are non-destructive, and organized for clarity. Categorized bins, color-coded topics, markers and transcripts included.

Ready to share

Share transcript for paper cuts. Or export video if the Selects rough cut is ready to go.

Same trip. The vlog actually goes up.

Processing time depends on file size and number of cameras.

Can I edit videos directly in Selects?

Yes, Selects has an editing environment with timeline shortcuts that mirror Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

It also includes text-based editing, natural language visual search.

But most professional editors use Selects for the prep and assembly, then hand off a structured project file to Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve for the final creative cut. It fits into your existing workflow rather than replacing it.

How is Selects different from other AI editing tools?

Most AI video editing tools work inside their own environment and produce a finished video you can't easily take further.

Selects is built for professional post-production workflows to handle the part before the edit: syncing multicam, organizing footage into topics, selecting the best audio, and removing dead air. The output is a structured project file that drops straight into your NLE. Editors stay in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Nothing changes on their end except they're starting from a clean, organized stringout instead of hours of raw footage.

Can I use Selects for short-form content, not just long-form?

Absolutely.

Selects works for any format where you're dealing with more raw footage than you need, whether that's a 90-second TikTok episode cut from a 2-hour shoot, or a 10-minute YouTube video from a full day of filming.

You can chat about your preferred clip length and pacing, and get a highlight-ready stringout in minutes. The shorter your final output relative to your raw footage, the more time Selects saves you.
