The footage piles up.
The video doesn't have to.

Organizing and syncing, transcripts and translation, a first cut, through to the finished video, posted. The work broadcasters, production companies and content teams repeat on every shoot, connected into one flow.

Is the day gone
before the story starts?

Files stacking up on every camera. Audio recorded separately. Dialogue in another language.

Finding the moments you need and building a first timeline takes a lot of prep.
Selects takes on that repeated work and moves your starting line forward.

Hand off the jobs
your team repeats.

Start with the step you need. For teams that only need sync, and for teams that want the finished video.

Organizing

Organize footage into your folder structure and color labels, and split dialogue, interviews, inserts and the rest the way you define them.

Sync

Dozens of cameras and recorders, in minutes. No slate needed: Selects compares waveforms that are out of step, lines up the same sound at the same time, and keeps it in sync through the rest of the edit.

Transcripts and topics

The transcript is tied to the picture and the timeline, and topic tracks show the structure of the story at a glance.

Translation

A translation sits under the original transcript, read with the picture, so footage shot abroad can be cut by someone who understands it.

First cut

What you don't need is cut from every track at once and the gap closes behind it. Cameras and audio stay in sync.

Camera switching

Selects picks the camera for each stretch by who is talking and where the conversation goes, and changes angle wherever a cut would jump.

Edit by chat

Leave timecoded notes on a draft and send them all to chat. Selects works through every note into a new draft and keeps the old one. Or cut by hand on a real multi-track timeline.

Graphics and generative AI

Captions, motion graphics and color, in the same project. Generate the shot you didn't get, a still for a title card or a voiceover, and re-voice an interview in any of 29 languages.

Shorts and highlights

Say how long and what about, and Selects picks the stretches it needs from the full episode and builds the shorts and highlights on separate timelines.

Team sharing

Invite a teammate by email. The project appears in their project list right away so they can carry on.

Post finished cuts and shorts straight from the timeline, up to 10 at a time, each with its own title and text.

Questions before you start

Do we have to adopt the whole workflow at once?

No. You can adopt it one step at a time. Teams where sync and translation are most urgent can start with prep, and teams with a lot of repetitive dialogue editing can start with the first cut.

Do we have to change our editor or how we produce?

No. The project prepared in Selects goes to the editor you use now, and you work there as usual. The project structure, codecs, proxies and integration requirements your team actually uses are checked with a sample project.

How do we know it works on our footage?

We look at representative footage and how you work today, together. We check the organized results and the quality of the first cut, the review and revision work, and the handoff, and decide the scope from there.

Can we generate shots, images and voiceover in Selects?

Yes. Describe a shot and Selects generates up to 30 seconds of video onto the timeline, or one to four still images per run. Voiceover reads your script in the voice you choose, and a recorded clip can be re-voiced in any of 29 languages. Selects generates voice, not music or sound effects. Generation draws on the team's shared pool of credits.

Can we post straight to YouTube and TikTok?

Yes. From Export > Socials, post a timeline or a video file to YouTube or TikTok, up to 10 at a time to one platform, each with its own title, text and visibility. Keep Selects open while the upload runs.

How do contracts and billing work?

You can choose a monthly or annual contract. You can pay by bank transfer or card, and teams in Korea can pay in KRW and receive a tax invoice.

How is our footage kept secure?

Selects is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Your team's security requirements are reviewed during evaluation, and the policies and reports are on our Trust Center.

Is our footage used to train AI?

No. Footage and project data uploaded to Selects are not used to train AI models.
