Where do I make music in Selects?
In chat. Describe the track: the mood, how long, vocals or none. The Generate audio app makes voices, not music.
Which models make the music?
Pick the one for the job:

- MiniMax Music 3 for complete songs with singing, up to 5 minutes
- Google Lyria 3 Pro for music in almost any style
- Stable Audio 2.5 for instrumental music up to 190 seconds
Can it sing?
Yes, with ElevenLabs Music, in 59 languages. Write the lyrics yourself or describe the song. A prompt can't name a real artist or song, or quote existing lyrics.
Can the track match the length of my edit?
Yes. Give a length, or ask for it to run the length of the cut. ElevenLabs Music makes tracks from 3 seconds to 10 minutes long.
Can I use music from Epidemic Sound instead?
Yes. The Epidemic Sound plugin, on every Selects plan, searches your Epidemic library inside Selects and adds a track to your timeline. Adding tracks needs a paid Epidemic Sound subscription, Personal or above.
Selects doesn't add a music license of its own, so what you can publish with an Epidemic track, and where, is set by your Epidemic plan.
Does generating music use credits?
Yes. Generating music runs on Selects credits. Before chat spends them, it shows the cost on a card for you to approve.
Can it make sound effects?
Yes. Describe the sound in chat, like a door creak as she walks in, and Selects generates it with ElevenLabs Sound Effects or Stable Audio 2.5 and places it on your timeline. MMAudio can make sound for a clip you already have, matched to what happens in it.
For ready-made sounds, open the Sounds tab in the Effects app. Click a tile to hear it and Add to drop it at the playhead. They don't use credits, and each one links to its own license.
