What is a video template in Selects?
A saved editing style. It holds the layout, captions, graphics and pacing of a finished video, and Selects edits your own footage into it.
How do I use a template?
- Open the Apps tab and pick a template from Clip highlights or the Explore gallery.
- Hover it, click Recreate, and add what it needs: footage, photos, or for some templates, just a link.
- Click Apply. Selects builds it in the background and applies it to your draft or makes a new timeline.
A template that works on a draft needs one with only video and audio on it, so apply it before you add captions or graphics.
What are trending edits?
Templates cut in an editing style that's trending on short-form right now. Add your own clips or photos and Selects cuts them in that style.
Do templates use credits?
Some do. A template that may use credits says May use credits before you apply it, and analyzing footage runs on credits.

Can I change a video made from a template?
Yes. Every result is a regular Selects project on a real timeline. Change any cut, caption or graphic by hand, or keep giving notes in chat.
Can I save my own style?
Yes, in parts. Save caption looks, text and stickers as presets and color grades as filters, and they're in every project on that computer.
You can also ask chat to save how you edit, like how long your clips run or how you name drafts, and later projects pick it up.
