The script is easy.
The animation isn't.

An explainer needs a script, a voice, a graphic for every point and a shot for every line. That is a writer, a narrator and a motion designer, or one person and three days.

So the video you meant to make about the news stays an open tab. Selects starts from the link or the idea and builds the first version, and you give the notes.

Script, voice and graphics,
from one prompt

From a link to a narrated video

Paste a link to an article or a post. Selects reads it, writes the script, and generates the narration and the visuals. No footage needed.

Motion graphics from a sentence

"Every time I say a number, put it on screen." Titles, callouts and animated text, made from what you ask for rather than dragged out of a template.

A narrator in the voice you pick

Generate the voiceover from your script with a choice of voice models, or match a voice from up to three short clips. It speaks the language the script is written in.

Generate the shots you didn't film

Describe the shot and Selects makes it: the drone pass, the night drive, the product on a clean surface. It lands on the timeline next to your real footage, ready to cut.

Same idea. Out the same day.

FAQ

Do I need footage to make an explainer video?

No. Describe the idea in the chat box on the Home screen, or paste a link to an article, and Selects builds the video with motion graphics, text, and AI-generated video, images and voice.

If you do have footage, it cuts from yours first and only generates what's missing.

How do I turn an article into an explainer?
  1. Paste the link to the article or post in chat.
  2. Say how long it should be and who it's for, like 90 seconds, vertical, for people who skipped the news.
  3. Selects reads it, writes the script, and generates the narration and the visuals. Then give notes until it's right.
Can I choose the narrator's voice?

Yes. The Generate audio app has three voice models: ElevenLabs v3 for narration, MiniMax Speech 2.8 HD for control over mood, speed and pitch, and Seed Audio 1.0, which can match a voice from up to three short reference clips.

You can also record your own narration and drop it in.

Can I make the same explainer in another language?

Yes. The voice speaks the language the script is written in, so write or ask for the script in that language. To re-voice a narration you already have, Translate works on clips up to 5 minutes, in 29 languages.

Captions translate too: ask chat and name the language, and the translation lands on its own track.

Does generating shots and narration use credits?

Yes. Generated video, images and voice run on credits, and Selects shows the cost before anything generates. You can start on the Free plan, no credit card required.

Do the motion graphics carry over to Adobe Premiere?

No. A handoff carries the cuts, the tracks and links to your media, but text, graphics and motion graphics arrive as gaps. Finish the graphics in Selects, or rebuild them in your editor.

Generated shots and narration are saved as files in your project, so they come across like any other clip.
